100% Recycled – made from recycled paper

Up to 50% Recycled – made from less than 50% recycled paper content

Over 50% Recycled – made from more than 50% recycled paper content

Environmental Benefit – product has a recognised environmental accreditation

Nordic Swan – The Nordic Swan label is a multinational environmental labelling scheme which also has close co-operation with the EU ECO-label system, being a ‘Competent Body’ in the Nordic countries. The Nordic environmental label is a neutral independent label which guarantees a certain environmental standard.

FSC – The Forest Stewardship Council is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation whose mission is to promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world’s forests. When you see the FSC logo on a label you can buy timber and other wood products such as paper with the confidence that you are not contributing to the destruction of the world’s forests.

FSC Mixed Sources – The type of fibre in this product is a mixture of some/all of the following:

  • Timber from an FSC-certified forest
  • Post-consumer reclaimed material
  • Controlled sources

The Blue Angel - sets standards for environmental conservation and sustainability for a wide range of products in Germany and beyond. The Blue Angel accreditation for recycled paper requires the use of 100% recovered paper. This means:

  • low use of water and energy in production
  • preservation of forests
  • promotion of recycling management
  • protection of the environmental and health through the avoidance of questionable chemicals and additives
